DevOps Engineer - AWS + Dev Background Essential - Fintech

A vast expanding start-up about to enter the international market is looking for a Senior DevOps engineer who comes from a software background to take ownership of their platform as they scale up their operations. They have a large tech team consisting of 200 people, they have large investors and get continued funding. An engineer with passion for scale and an ability to build large bespoke platforms that ensure reliability, security and deployment of the system is the ideal candidate.

They were established 6 years ago and now have more than 400 employees, off whom none were let go through the current global crisis but have seen their business go from strength to strength.

Essential Skills:

  • Absolutely essential to have a Software Developer Background -

Have the ability to program applications from scratch not just scripting (any language but most be able to code).

  • AWS Environment
  • Infrastructure as code (e.g Terraform)
  • Configuration Management (e.g Ansible)

Nice but not essential :

  • Containerisation (e.g Docker and Kubernetes)

Role:

  • Aiding the move to 24/7 service
  • 3rd Party Integrations
  • International Office Set Up
  • Containerisation implementation
