Quality Engineering Expert

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000

Location: Remote but with some travel to the office in either London - Leeds - Manchester

Area of expertise I am looking for: Testing environment expertise with a passion for automation who will design a curriculum as a subject matter expert and deliver it via online and in person training sessions and seminars to organisations and individual private trainees/students as a solution. The Quality Engineering expert will grow and evolve this course as time goes on growing into a practice lead. You will be expected to deliver training yourself also as well as in the future mentoring / leading other trainers.

I am seeking a Quality Engineering Expert who wants to share their passions with the next set of budding engineers whilst also being involved in the everyday business practices of an up-and-coming consultancy. It is an opportunity to open yourself up to all the different cloud platforms and tooling available in the market and getting to use them in practice making you the new Gene Kim of the DevOps sphere. This is an opportunity for you to design a product that will deliver a solution to so many businesses.

This consultancy is a leading provider of consulting services to commercial, financial and government departments, they strive to deliver tech solutions with the biggest providers where there is shortages within the market and the costs can be great enabling them to be self-sufficient post-delivery and they want their DevOps Trainer to help in this mission.

They have recently appointed a new Head of DevOps whom we have worked with in the past and is passionate about delivering a first class programme, that offers trainers the opportunity to be exposed to every aspect of DevOps so they can teach it but also gain hands on experience through becoming consultants with the consultancies industry leading cliental.

Essential Skills:

• 4+ years' experience with testing and a passion for process automation
• Support pre-sales efforts
• Work with marketing to create product positioning and collateral messaging
• Contribute to industry thought leadership via blogging, public speaking
• Manage small team of trainers to support in these effort

Non - Essential but nice to have:

• Build and maintain curriculum and course materials for domain
• Directly Deliver Training to clients

Whilst you will be delivering training to businesses and individuals, our client is putting more emphasis on your commercial experience over any previous training experience. So you do have to have come from a formal training / lecturing background for success in this role, although you will need to be hungry and willing to be a product lead trainer!

• Deliver DevOps tutorials thus helping to deliver best practice and drive efficiencies in our product development and deployment processes
