This your opportunity to be a pioneer as this role represents the start of a brand new team. You'll be coming in as the first and sole platform engineer reporting directly to the CTO. To begin you will be the sole contributor, so being a hands on, highly motivated, self-starter and enjoy being a leader in your field is a most for this role. This is your opportunity to progress and develop a team that shapes the new age of insurance. You will be supporting growth for an ever expanding start up, fastest growing Insurtech in Europe. You will be moving and making an impact: 55+ microservices, 12 engineers, 120 production deploys per week and growing.

Role Description:

• Manage and Secure AWS cloud environment
• Build productivity tooling for engineers and data scientists to help build CI/CD pipelines
• Leading to move full containerization on AWS
• Progression, develop and hire a team

Essential Skills:

• Worked in an AWS cloud environment
• Expert in agile practices

Tooling:

• Infrastructure as Code e.g Terraform
• CI/CD Jenkins
• Containerisation Docker
• Containerisation orchestration Kubernetes/ECS or Fargate

Projects:

• Implementing containerisation
• Improving CI/CD pipelines
• Implementing monitoring tool and choosing monitor tool
• Securing platform
