Business Analyst - Automation £65.000

A hands-on Business Analyst is required to join our boutique wealth management client to help with the delivery of number of data automation projects. The new low-code automation software allows for the business to extend their data automation capability into new areas of excellence and success.

It is likely that there will be several different use cases for the data automation technology and the successful Business Analyst will work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the business in a highly varied role that could extend until the end of 2022.

The right candidate for this role will be able to hold mature conversations with senior managers and stakeholders inspiring, motivating and leading them to success and a full realisation of this project.

A background in technology will be helpful for this role. Experience working with automation tools like Alteryx, Blue Prism is crucial. as well as demonstrable experience with automating data workflows and processes. We are looking for a Business Analyst with direct asset and wealth management experience.

The role of the Business Analyst will be based in UK with some travel required, primarily to Malta. Reporting directly to the Head of Projects, the Project Manager / Business Analyst will undertake the coordination of multiple project stakeholders across various departments through the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to determine and document business requirements
  • Complete and maintain clear project documentation including Plans, Initiation documents (PIDs) and risk logs
  • Managing the delivery of each project to the agreed level of quality, programme and budget.
  • Managing third party contributions to the project.
  • Managing the communications with all stakeholders.
  • Managing risks to the projects successful outcome.
  • Reporting progress of projects at regular intervals.
  • Providing aftercare services to the customer.
  • Completing stakeholder analysis.
  • Running process workshops.
  • Mapping business processes.
  • Working with process owners and other stakeholders to understand current process and potential improvements that could be made.

Essential knowledge skills & experience

  • Preferably degree qualified (although not essential).
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project delivery with a demonstrable experience in the facilitation and production of detailed programmes, work schedules and delivery of multiple projects, with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • A proven record of mapping processes and process improvement.
  • Have the ability to plan projects using at least 1 industry standard programming package.
  • Competent in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio
  • Experience of working within the Financial Service industry with some knowledge of wealth management products beneficial.
  • Experience of working with Financial Platforms … Avello/Iress XPLAN useful
  • Management experience of delivering multiple projects.
  • You must be able to deliver the above efficiently, working within multiple deadlines and duties, delivering works accurately.
  • Able to produce estimates of project time and cost targets which are reviewed and revised as necessary throughout the project life cycle, possibly in liaison with other functional areas and expertise.
  • You will be expected to work to your own initiative, whilst also working well as an integral team member.

  • Ability to write clear and precise reports (e.g. feasibility studies). Simplify complex information to a diverse range of people.
  • Flexible in approach to solving issues and delivering programmes.
  • Well organised with good time management skills.
