Desktop Support Engineer - O365 / G Suite - FinTech Investment

I am looking for an Desktop Support Engineer who is proficient with Microsoft and Google workplace technologies to join a forward thinking fintech company that gives accessible credit to growing businesses to allow them to expand and achieve their goals.

Our client is based in the heart of the trendy East End of London and offer both shift and remote work opportunities. They have 200 employees and are looking to double again in the next two years! You will be working in a support team of 3. Our client also has 3 other international offices so there may be opportunities to travel abroad if you are keen to!

You will be joining the service desk team, who are responsible for the day to day operation of all systems, networks and user stations. The clients system runs on an Azure virtual platform with both Office 365 and Google workspace, formally G Suite deployed.

Skills you will utilise in this role:

  • Thorough understanding of Office 365, Google Workspace (formally G Suite)
  • Understanding of IIS, AD, DNS, SQL, Networking, firewalls and load balancers
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS operating systems, Windows 10 and Server 2016
  • Good working knowledge of common office computer programs such as MS Office and e-mail applications
  • Good working knowledge and expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, Group Policy

Cools stuff you will gain exposure to:

Role:

  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Test and evaluate new Microsoft, Google & partner technologies
  • Use monitoring tools to ensure up-time, monitor network health and troubleshoot issues
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Build partnerships with users by regularly demonstrating expertise and professionalism
  • Keep users informed of problem resolution timeline and action plans
  • Independently assess and effectively respond to users' requests
  • Implement problem solutions by following company policies and procedures
