Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Legaltech

We are currently hiring a Cloud Engineer on behalf of a Legaltech firm in Farringdon who are specialists in providing technology-led information services for legal businesses. They are an innovative and dynamic company whose services provide world class analytics, intelligence, and data for global businesses within the legal sector. Our client's web based products are used by 500,000 users and are very popular sites. You will be managing the Azure platform that hosts them.

As the senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer you will be joining a team of 4 supporting the business and their user's IT needs.

Azure environment is in a youthful / juvenile state and this is the chance to come in and work with the rest of the team to improve the Azure eco-system. Decanting services from the DC - doing a quick lift and shift over to a new Azure environment. Soon there will be no on-prem as our client are moving to a new head office.

There are over 420 people (500 with a multitude of freelancers / contractors) in the business, and they have offices in locations across the world. to double in size over the next year.

Essential:

  • Azure in a hybrid environment and moving to a full cloud platform - In depth experience a must!
  • Azure AD and Microsoft on premise AD
  • Azure fundamentals:
    • Azure Active Directory SSO
    • Azure Storage accounts
    • Azure VPN
    • Azure Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
    • Azure Virtual Machines
    • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Expert in Windows Server administration (Server 2012 onwards)
  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint Online
  • Remote Desktop Services and Azure Virtual Desktops
  • Experienced with fully converged Hyper-V cluster Windows Server core 2019+ and Azure PowerShell
  • Familiarity with networking principals (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, VLAN etc)
  • Awareness of working towards recognised security accreditations and adopting and implementing IT security best practise
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels of the business
  • Managing a global estate of PC & Mac remote workstations using remote deployment and monitoring tools
