Java Developer - Microservices/ DevOps Environment| Exciting Projects, Financial Services | Remote

An amazing opportunity for a Java Microservices Developer to join a boutique consultancy that focuses on delivering mission-critical solutions for tier-one financial enterprise companies. Within this company, you will join the project team who are currently revolutionising the Payments landscape on behalf of one of the largest banks in the world.

Joining the project team, you will be using a range of practices, tools and technologies that are aligned to payments and transactional systems. You will use your experience in development, engineering and coding in order to positively lead, aid and assist the project to success. You will be working amongst a large team where you will interact daily with other developers, architects, and engineering teams in order to reach key milestones. Your warm, engaging consulting style will bring have a positive impact on the whole project.

You will implement new microservices for a brand new GCP service, and help to deliver streamlined solutions that will solve complex problems. You will be developing robust code and approaching situations with a problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit.

Essential (proficiency within):

• Designing and developing robust and quality code
• Developing Microservices based solutions
• Java
• Cloud Native (hybrid and multi-cloud, GCP, AWS, Azure)

Experience in:

• Kubernetes and/or Docker
• Distributed Databases
• GCP (desirable)
• Containerisation, Nomad
• Kafka, KStreams, TDD
• Istio, Consul Kong Mesh, gRPC, protobuf

Desirable (you will gain exposure to):

• Financial Services experience
• Scala and Go
• Programming, Kanban, Xtreme
• Virtualisation
